Oh I know, its Christmas Season, but really I feel the need to celebrate what really the season should be about. I sent out am email tonight to a friend, and pity me that I was a bit Negative Nancy, the new word in this Hutter Household for when I am, well abit more negative that I should be. Peter’s new word for mom:)
The email went abit like this:
Me: “before we all get stupid busy with the xmas season:) sorry about that but would rather see people giving all year long, than at xmas time because it is required:) I haven't done a bit of shopping, we are going to draw names and each has a limit of $50.00 to spend on the person they got. Mikes bday was this wkn, so we don't decorate until afterwards. Ok, i am really not a bah humbug lady, well just a bit around this time of year, if it would just be surrounded by friends, and family, wine and chocolate, i would be much happier:):)”
And the reply I got went something like this:
“Ha ha..the biggest giver of them all....is a grouch at Christmas time? HA! I LOVE IT :) That's b/c you are always a giver..like you say...ALL YEAR LONG IS THE BEST! HAPPY birthday to mikey..love it :) BET CDA is gorg this time of year to celebrate you all :)”
Dawn and me...I will forever be thankful for her, luv her like no tomorrow, always have and always will.
My life in pictures and stories are one of my “Thankful Things”. This past year has been the best ever. See, every year is always better than the year before...and yes I do live a charmed life.
My walks during the day…with a view from above…I am “Thankful” for.
It hasn’t always been easy, so even though I don’t work anymore, I did put the dirty thirty in and really have surprised people when my choice has been to creep away from the general public. My new passion has been to be on the back side and watch…look…and listen, and capture my life and others in pictures. Pure joy is what I call it…and I am “Thankful” for that calm.
Most of all I am “Thankful” for this guy called Mike. He puts up with me and my smelly smells...my open door policy...he doesn’t care if I travel and spend money...he luvs me when I have gained a few pounds...and really never ever complains. Except when I cut into his fishing time:) But then I think he leads a pretty blessed life ...after all he has me:) Hope that you find that this season is so much more than buying people gifts they don’t want, spending money on things that don’t matter, and instead perhaps you would join me, in the simple pleasures of life...Wine in moderation, good Chocolate in moderation, and Friendship...
The Friendship part, if you haven't figured it out...is the most important...thus I am very “Thankful” every single day:)
