“Really”...is the words that come out of some of my friends mouths...when they ask what my kiddos are doing this summer. It is called “work”. Its what I did as a kid, earned my own money...spent my own money...bought my own “stuff”. I luved the freedom it brought! So one of Chloe’s jobs this summer was to work during Art in the Green and Street Fair last weekend.
She worked at a shop called “One More Thing”. A boutique that sells clothing and other goodies…one of my favorite places to buy random gifts, earnings, and just about anything else my little heart desires:)
She had to dress up...look nice...run the cash register...and wait on a lot of people! Three days of bliss...and a paycheck:)
My answer for the “Really”...is why wouldn’t you want your kid to work...it teaches them good communication skills...good organization skills... just gives them confidence. Don’t you think?
This is Kay, the owner and my friend...she took Chloe under her wing...took a leap of faith that she would do a good job for her...
Kay and I go way back when...we even started our first jobs together...yep the A&W car hop days were the funniest times ever with her. So Kay, thanks for teaching Chloe a think or two about retail...I know she had a blast!
I must always find the time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives...Auntie Kay as you are called by Chloe...that was you this past week...xo
