Off to Seattle for a lil road trip with girls of four…a friend for Chloe and a friend for Me. We wanted to make it a nice adventure…a quick get away from the winter…a bit of shopping…a bit of good food..and a lot of talking:) Two moms and two teenage daughters…
We found this great Hotel to stay in…Hotel Max…it was funky, downtown, modern, and old all in one. A jewel in the heart of Seattle.
I know that Chloe and her friend Jessica thought this trip was about them…but really it was about my friend Rebecca…she is just one of the most delightful easy going ladies… I really wanted to get to know her better…she is a nurse, mom of two, an old soul of sorts, with a different look on life then me…so much I can learn from her by just listening to her story of “life”.
Often times you look in at other peoples lifes…with wonder..thinking how and what makes their families tick…what makes it work…I came back enriched by this dear lady named “Rebecca”.
Girls of two…thought it was important to collect as many bags as possible…aka “cool”. whatever I say:)
What a gift…a kindred spirit…one in a million…who can explain it? Someone who knows what we are going through. Someone who cares, in good times and bad. Across the miles and down through the years…good friends are not always together but never apart. Here in four little words is one simple secret of a beautiful life: “I have a friend.” Thanks Rebecca for the grand road trip…
I try every day…to make sure that Chloe knows how important it is to have “good” friends…that will have your back and be there no matter what. It is a lesson well worth teaching…
